Dandelion Heart is a musical endeavor born into creation by Lacy Hampton (Aisle 24, Common Roots), Chase Hart, Korey McKelvy (The Ozark Travelers), & Willa Thomason (Moonshine for Bears.) The band focuses on three-part vocal harmonies with melodic backing by cello, guitar, mandolin, & hand percussion. Each member has a unique background in music, but all have performed locally for the past several years, & each hails from Northwest Arkansas, with roots in A Capella choral & orchestral performances. Lacy fronted family folk-rock band Aisle 24, & has more recently played in her brother/sister duo, Common Roots. Korey's band, The Ozark Travelers, found success in the local scene as a folk-bluegrass project with festival-goer appeal. Chase performed in a local duo & Willa has an extensive background playing with The Ozark Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. During college she played with bluegrass band Moonshine for Bears, as well as the Lyon Campus Flute Choir. These four have big goals ahead as they begin to look at what the Dandelion Heart original songwriting sound will embody.
